Please bring a compass. We highly recommend bringing the suunto MC2
In this class, students will learn land navigation skills such as:
- Map reading and orientation
- Determining and plotting grid coordinate
- Terrain features and association
- Compass and protractor usage, grid/ magnetic azimuth conversions
- Pace count and lateral drift
Additionally, remember to bring a lunch, water, and clothing that is appropriate for the weather.
